Video made by 6-12th graders at Canton Central Schools in Upstate, NY. A bit tongue in cheek, but an excellent example of youth activism. These students have reached out to local representatives and are advocating for their district by voicing their concerns about the future of their school.
Right now I am taking Sociology of Education at HWS. Many of the issues voiced by these students we have discussed in length in my classes. Coming from a rural school, I am particularly sensitive to these issues that rural students face.

What do parents do when they suspect that their child is the bullying. Most rhetoric surrounding bullying engages the victim and their families. What is the responsibility & role of the perpetrator’s family? Are they bystanders?

Help us get a PG-13 rating for this movie! “BULLY” is receiving an R-rating for language used by children and adults in the documentary. The message of the documentary is extremely powerful and is meant to touch younger generations about the impact words can have on the life of a child.
